Empire State – Part 1 November 23, 2009

I walk this same block nearly everyday to and from work. I make a point of taking this block as opposed to the four other options that would get me to work in the same amount of time, for one basic reason: about halfway down the block you get hit with a warm burst of fresh, bleach smelling air from the laundry of the Hotel Pennsylvania. It’s nice in the summer when the city is pretty awful smelling and nice in the winter for the little bit of warmth on the otherwise cold and windy tunnel that is the canyon of 33rd Street.

And also because of the view.
